The Alliance's 'Making the connection: a genomics conversation webinar' was held on Tuesday 21 June 2022.

Over 100 registered for the free two-hour webinar, as part of the annual genomics conversation 'Let's talk genomics 'week, with just under 80 attending on the day to listen to members of the team discuss genomics, the genomics landscape of the North West, and the regional and national genomic transformation projects for 2022-23.

The webinar was opened by Professor Bill Newman, Clinical Director for the Alliance, and Professor Janelle Yorke, Executive Chief Nurse & Director of Quality, Chair Patient Centred Research, The Christie Hospital.

The session featured presentations from the Alliance's Deputy Clinical Directors, Workforce Development and Health Education Leads', Nursing, Midwifery, and Pharmacy Leads, as well as learning more about the Alliance’s Equality and Diversity Strategy.  A patient also shared their lived experience of genomics.

More events are planned by the end of the year but for those who missed the webinar, it is available to watch on-demand via the Alliance's YouTube channel.
