Genomics matters: Health equality and ethics

Genomic medicine has the potential to revolutionize healthcare and personalised care, but it also raises important questions about ethics and equality.  The increased availability of genetic information provides a challenge, in relation to understanding ethical issues, which include informed decision making, informed consent, whilst maintaining privacy and confidentiality of genetic information.

In this episode, Dr Tara Clancy, Mark Dronsfield, and Monaza Choudry discuss this topic, hosted by Barbara Coleman. Genetic testing, genetic and genomic research are also considerations, as well as preventing genetic discrimination and health inequalities.
