The next national meeting of our NHS Pharmacogenomics and Medicines Optimisation Genomic Network is being held on Friday, 9th May 2025.
Registration from 9:00 AM, for 10:00 AM start.
This free event will close at 4:00 PM, with 30 minutes for networking up to 4:30 PM.
Join us for an engaging and insightful event hosted by the national Genomic Network of Excellence in Pharmacogenomics.
This full-day event brings together leading experts, researchers, and patient advocates to explore the challenges and opportunities in implementing pharmacogenomics in clinical practice.
Agenda highlights (with full agenda to be confirmed in due course):
- Keynote presentation: Pharmacogenomics in the NHS by Professor Dame Sue Hill DBE FMedSci FRSB FRCP(Hon) FRCPath (Hon) FHCS (Hon) is the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) for England.
- Interactive session: Involving patients and the public in pharmacogenomics implementation, featuring patient representatives, research updates, and panel discussions.
- Expert panel: Challenges and opportunities in delivering pharmacogenomics laboratory services, by Prof. Dr. Ron H.N. van Schaik and Emma Howard.
Attendees will have the chance to engage through networking opportunities and discuss the future of pharmacogenomics

- Developing a pharmacogenomics competency framework for prescribers
- Pharmacogenomics and health economics
- Patient counselling and informed discussion for pharmacogenomics
