NHS Pharmacogenomics Genomic Network of Excellence event
Event Description
Join us for an informative and engaging event starting at 10 am with a warm welcome and a patient’s perspective on Pharmacogenomics (PGx). This will be followed by a progress update and an overview of the Network of Excellence (NoE)
Later in the morning, we will delve into the topic of childhood asthma and pharmacogenomics, exploring the latest advancements and research in this crucial area.
Participate in specialized workshops focusing on Paediatric PGx, Mental Health PGx, and Cancer PGx, where experts will share insights and developments in these fields; we will gather feedback from the workshops, providing an opportunity to discuss and reflect on the key points raised.
Enjoy a lunch and networking break from 1 to 2 pm, offering a chance to connect and network with other attendees, colleagues and speakers alike, with the afternoon session starting with a presentation from Wout van den Broek, discussing the practical application of clopidogrel PGx, an essential topic for healthcare practitioners.
Engage in group discussions from 2:30 to 3:45 pm, covering the implementation of clopidogrel PGx, UK PGx reference source led by Lucy Galloway, and the industry’s relationship with the NoE, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
After a short comfort break from 3:45 to 4 pm, we will conclude the event with a summary and closing remarks by 4:30pm, encapsulating the day’s key takeaways and future directions in PGx.
Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your understanding and application of pharmacogenomics in various medical fields!
